Primobolan is an anabolic steroid also known as methenolone acetate (tablets) or methenolone enanthate (injectable). Primobolan is often used by those concerned with comparative safety and smooth muscle gain when taking anabolic steroids because of the way it interacts with the body and its lack of some common anabolic steroid side effects. Many of the reasons Primobolan is used in a steroid dosing cycle are more about the side effects it does not have than those it does have. Primobolan is not an instant steroid and gains in muscle mass are smooth and long term rather than fast and explosive. However, muscle mass gains with Primobolan are not as calorie dependant as with other anabolic steroids such as Deca. That means when the dieting phase requires a lower calorie intake Primobolan may be a useful adjunct to training and the steroid dosing cycle.

Primobolan in either injectable or tablet form will have some side effects but relatively few compared to anabolic steroid alternatives. The important thing to remember with Primobolan is that gains are slow and long term with sufficient dosing. Primobolan is felt to be an effective anabolic steroid when used appropriately, however the athlete should also ensure that the Primobolan purchased is made by Schering and not a black market fake.
